SPOE is once again rising from the dead! HalloweenTV.com wishes to thank Jane and the crew at SPOEnews. Because you, the fans, have shown your undying support for this unique show, the ever amazing SciFi Channel is adding SPOE to its weekly lineup. Be sure to tune in each Tuesday at 8 and 9 PM Eastern or check your local listings. Plus, you'll find many other great paranormal shows you're sure to love. If you are a fan of SPOE, be sure to thank the SciFI Channel by tuning in, telling your friends, and setting your Tivo. They are taking a risk for us, let's be sure it pays off for them.

Join host Linda Blair for a trip to some of the most haunted locations on the planet. Learn the spooky history from the hair raising narration of Zelda Rubenstein. Get a glimpse into the paranormal from the onsite correspondent Alan Robson. See what happens when a normal American family must spend the night in one of the Scariest Places on Earth!

"What is it that makes a place "scary"? Is it not knowing what lurks around the next corner, what lies behind the walls, or what waits for us to go to sleep at night? Most often it isn't what we can see, but what we cannot, the unknown, and that's what you'll find in the "Scariest Places on Earth".

• The show originally aired on the Fox Family Channel as a part of "The 13 Days of Halloween," and most Fridays at 9 pm E/P.
• The creepy-cool red-haired British guy is the great Alan Robson, who I feel is best summed up by one of his own quotes, "I am Robson. I don't want to know your names... You will see things tonight, things you will never forget".
• The hair-raising narrator is Zelda Rubenstein.
• When the show started it was simply a tour of various haunted locations, like interesting history. When shows such as "MTV's Fear" (for more info click here) caught on, the show became focused on one family's exploration of a haunted location. At the time of cancellation the producers had a poll on their now extinct website (ScariestPlacesOnEarth.com) that seemed to see which format the public preferred.

Q: How can I be on the show? / How do I audition for the show?
A: Keep in mind, HalloweenTV.com is not directly affiliated with the show, we are just big fans! The show's producers have just finished producing a few new episodes. Currently there are no new episodes scheduled for production. However, if more episodes are ordered, auditions will likely be held. If and when this happens, audition info will be added to this page. Until then there is no way to be on the show. Please do not contact us for this information. Any audition info will be posted here if and when it becomes available. Thanks for your cooperation.

Q: Why was the show cancelled? / What is its current status?
A: The show had been cancelled, because its owners, ABC Family, did felt it did not fit their image. It has been recently resurrected for two new episodes and a marathon of reruns for the 13 Nights of Halloween in 2005. Reruns have since been shown in 2006 and 2007 during ABC Family's annual Halloween programming. Reruns are now appearing on the SciFi Channel, but there are no plans to film additional episodes. For more information on keeping the show back on the air or having similar shows introduced, read the Take Action section at the bottom of the page.

A: Unfortunately, there is no official music collection from the show. However the music was composed by Nick Phoenix whose music also appears frequently on the History Channel and many other shows.

Satan's Dormitory - Freshmen students are led on a midnight tour of the haunted areas of Ohio University in Athens. After exploring the dorm room where a student committed suicide they make their way over to the nearby asylum and discover a horrific connection to the haunted dormitory.

Secret Mummies of Italy - The Capuchin Catacombs in Palermo, Sicily are the eternal home for thousands of shocking mummies from all walks of "death." Posed in life-like activities and dressed in their finest clothing, they create a haunting historical tableau.

La Purisima: Ghost Hunting in a Spanish Mission - Students agree to investigate paranormal activity at La Purisima Mission in Lompoc, California. When a dowsing rod leads them to the mission's bell tower, the terrified students decide to end their study and close the portal.

Take Action

Here are some ways to encourage the show's owners to bring it back. Send them the message that Halloween and scary TV is year round fun.

1. Sign the petition to bring back SPOE

2. Write to officials at ABC Family and ABC Networks, who air the show. Note: Please be courteous and respectful to these people. Being rude will only increase the chance of the show being grounded permanently. The best way to get the show to remain on the air is to express how much you enjoy the show and do all you can to support it, including watching it and telling friends.

2. Write to Triage Entertainment, the people who dreamed up SPOE in the first place. Note: They created the show, but were not responsible for the various times it h as been pulled from the air. You should encourage them to create new similar shows.

3. Tell Larry King you want to see the cast and crew, including Linda Blair, Zelda Rubenstein, and Alan Robson on his show.
